Hi guys,

The default setting for new members who join ATFE is 'moderated'. Meaning

there will be a lag between whatever you post and how quickly one of our 4

moderators here can get to it and approve it to go to the group. (Generally, the

only messages not approved by moderated members are spam.)

Unfortunately, we don't often have time to get in and edit your setting after

approving your initial group-friendly message, so quite a few of you are still

on 'moderated' status when you need to be 'unmoderated'.

What I'd like to ask from pretty much all of you... newbies, regulars, and

non-spammers (ha!) is to please post a quick note to the group today, it can be

a 'hi' or 'present', an intro, a tip, a question, whatever, just so I can go in

and take each of you off moderation. (I just got about 30 regulars off

moderation.)

Thank you!,

Stacey on behalf of all the ATFE List Moms (Christina, Jeanine & Liz)

Dear Stacey,

Hi there! I hope that you have had a Happy Fourth of July. We did because

we had our Marine come home for the weekend to visit. He is doing well in

Yuma but wishes he were back in the land of Pennsacola, Florida where there

are beautiful girls, cooler weather, and beaches to swim in.

I am alive and well recovering from back problems and the diet from - - -

-. I finally found a doctor that believed me when I told him about getting

into fungus and mold back in 2000 when I closed down my Mom's house. He

told me that he had just had 3 cases like mine in the past 2 years and that

he could help. So he put me on a restricted diet and meds for 21 days. My

cough is clearing up and I am loosing weight for the first time in years. I

am beginning to get my energy back and feel like doing work again. It's the

pits when you go to a number of doctors and all they want to do is give you

the little purple pill for acid reflux which refused to take. I finally see

light at the end of the tunnell. Oh, what I would give right now for a

piece of chocolate candy, cake, cookie, etc. lol.

Next- Why don't you make yourself some oak moss tea from oak moss found on

oak trees where you live? All you have to do is to find some branches with

the oak moss on it, scrape off the oak moss, make a tea with it. Then add

the tea to some alcohol along with eos. Put into a spray bottle and you

have your linen spray. That way you don't have the toxic effects that you

get from the oak moss absolute. If you would rather have some of my aged

oak moss infused oil, call or email me offlist.

Have a great week!

Thanks! I had a great and *very interesting* 4th up on the rooftop of a photo

shop my dad manages in Little Italy, which is in downtown San Diego. We saw bits

and pieces (between brand-new condos and highrises) of two firework shows on the

harbor that were synced.

Anyhow, so glad you had your Marine home from my hometown, Yuma, if only for

the weekend. Let me know if you want me to set him up with any contacts or fun

things/places to go. I have friends in high places. (Well, at least there. Ha!)

Sorry to hear it took so much work just to make yourself heard. So it was

mold? Isn't Lemon Myrtle a great oil for this when you have problems with it in

the home? (It's been a while since I've read up on it, so I'm not quite

certain.)

The main reason I ask is that I have a new office mate who believes she may

have a mold issue after a plastic mat was removed from the floor after being

there a few years. I suggested Lemon Myrtle, which I just ran into today. I gift

from Deb in Oz, I believe. :-D

And I'm happy to hear about the weight loss even if it's no fun. I too have

lost weight (12 pounds) in 3 weeks, just by eating lots of brown rice, veggies,

fruit and walking 4-5 miles a night 4 nights a week. (I'd really gone up from my

normal weight since the thyroid surgery in '02.) I think my stress levels might

also be reducing my appetite in general, but I'm working on that now.

Unless I had you or Martin right with me, I would have no clue what Oak Moss

looked like unless you put my hand right on it! (John Kercher once took me to a

botanical garden in Belgrade and said in his booming voice " OK, Stacey, what is

this common herb? " . My answer: Lavender. Nope. Rosemary. It had blooms and

confused me.)

I'm just generally not very good with identifying plants I see... even in the

big regional park I walk every night that has identifying signs!!! Note to self:

sign up for training as a nature walk guide for the regional park I already

volunteer at so I can really know my stuff! (Or at least regional stuff.)

http://www.mtrp.org

BTW, if you're interested, I may have a file *somewhere* on how beneficial

mosses have been found for certain medical conditions. I met a botanist in

Serbia who'd been studying them intensely for years and was very impressed with

their possibilities.

I'm here, I'm here! Actually, I'm in Minneapolis at the Friends of

Sierra Leone conference. Very cool folks, very supportive of our work

there. I think we gathered three new volunteers and raised some

money! Yayy. Hey, is there a good oil for those who must do

fundraising but hate it passionately??!! Maybe Dr Young could

recommend something <snicker>.

We're leaving the 27th of this month for Sierra Leone. Not teaching a

new cohort, but visiting the " MOMS TBAs " we've already worked with to

do refresher and advanced training and to help with their projects.
