Guest guest
Hi Marcia, I read the article and the original one. Were the oils blended together? I couldn't make that out in the article. I did a test in Microbiology of Tea Tree oil by itself against staph aureus, baccilus and strep in separate plates and it did very little and neither did the Clove Bud. But the Oregano Linalool and Carv. as well as Red Thyme did very well. When I blended all these oils together with Tea Tree, Clove Bud, Red Thyme and the two Oregano oils they cleared the plates entirely, but did little on my plate of Pseudomonas. We discussed this at the aromatherapy meeting in New Mexico and Lemon Myrtle was discussed as being an agent. I want to pay my old teacher a visit to see if he'd let me use the lab to experiment with this further, but I don't know if he could get me MRSA. He was pushing the envelope when we had the Pseudomonas and we were told not to say anything. He He. I did make a blend of these oils as a spray and inhale it at the first sign of a cold and I also spray down my work area and use it on airplanes, and it's worked wonders. People have reported they've had good results inhaling it. Thanks for the article, I've been collecting all the research I can get my hands on. Guest guest
Marcia, I've had two friends die of MRSA contracted in the hospital so I hope valid information and more testing is done so that one day it will be used in the hospitals not just a petri dish or tube. My father was given antibiotics in the hospital to kill e.coli which didn't work and he died of sepsis. (e.coli was not the reason he was hospitalized) I had a horse taken out by e.coli, after the floods in California as some pastures were contaminated by e.coli. While it is great that research is trying to find something that kills bad bacteria, I hope they keep in mind we need to keep the good ones that our body uses for defense. Maybe one day they can sanitize the whole body and inject the good ones needed after the sanitization and maybe have a fogger that shows up microbial bad bugs in the environment, something similar to chemicals used to find traces of blood the eye can't see, will need to see smaller particles. And a fogger that kills the bad bugs in hospitals and other places we can be in contact with MRSA. it is scary that we come in contact with 'bugs' daily, just waiting for the opportunity to settle in and multiply. Guest guest
Hi all We have created the MRSA. We , people and stupid medical systems that give antibiotics for free in Public grocery store and in Wall mart and everywhere. In USA they can get it for free in those stores. How ilogical that is!!! When we use the antibiotics for every small thing that disturbs us, without trying to go the simple way first. Microbes are good for us.They make us stronger as species. It is called natural selection and adaptation. And whatever we do, we cannot stop this.We cannot live into a sterile world. In fact the only role of antibiotics is to halt the multiplication of the bacteria till the body has the capacity to fight by itself. That is all. Some of them are just " static " not 'Lytic " . If our imune system does not work, we go nowhere. Do not forget. We adapt slow, the unicelulars adapt and mutate fast.we cannot keep up with that, ever. Respectfully to all, T Let us read and let us dance - two amusements that will never do any harm to the world. ~ Francois-Marie Arouet Voltaire ATFE2 cortaderia_1999 Tue, 16 Jun 2009 18:07:58 +0000 [ATFE2] Re: More Anti-MRSA Oils Marcia, I've had two friends die of MRSA contracted in the hospital so I hope valid information and more testing is done so that one day it will be used in the hospitals not just a petri dish or tube. Either from an illness or a cancer such as lymphoma. Does not mean antibiotics are used for everything they get, they just have to be careful so they are not 'culled from the herd'. Yes and the bugs do get stronger and wily to find that niche in the wall of defense. Follow general health advice: Good diet, exercise (can be mild), good sleep and of course 'wash your hands' Kindly, Sue
Guest guest
I'm so glad my kids' doctors in the past few years stopped prescribing antibiotics. But I still hear people keeping storehouses of antibiotics and popping them every time they get sick. I have told people that if it's a virus, the antibiotic isn't going to do squat. I can't take most antibiotics and in the past years just using Essential Oils and natural rememdies have helped me. I used to get sick a lot, but I eat more fruit now, especially green apples every morning which have immune boosting enzymes. Shame most people that I know aren't interested in natural remedies. Guest guest
Just a note to add to Michele's comment... I definitely notice I get colds and flus much less often (rarely, in fact), when I'm working with the oils on even a somewhat regular basis. We're even talking just basic aromalamp blending, room/linen spritzers and general random sniffing! Hugs to all, Stacey P.S. So sorry for the formatting... I'm back to just my BlackBerry the next 2 weeks.
