Guest guest
It never fricking fails that I get misquoted when I come here. I DID NOT STATE THAT ALL PROBIOTICS ARE BAD. I said this one veterinarian mentioned that a certain veterinarian said that a certain probiotic made with pig feces was causing the problem. But I can't argue my point because I can't find the link and I'm too busy right now to spend a day looking for it. You can keep your smart aleck comments to yourselves about me sticking to my subject matter. I was here when this board pretty much started. I've been coming here a long time. People know me here and they know I'm not going to post something unless I checked it out. But in the end, it's this guy's opinion. It's for discernment. You want to give your pet probiotics, I'm not standing in your way. It's merely something to think about. I just can't believe the amount of rudeness that's come to this board from people just so they can feel self-righteous. So just scratch what I said, since I can't support it, but you can keep your rudeness. Chaeya
Guest guest
Hear! Hear! What she said! If you disagree, do it with politeness. At the very least read the posts carefully. Consider your response before hitting send. Otherwise you not only sound rude, but ignorant as well. K Who does this pretty well, with the huge exception being... well, I hesitate to mention it, okay no I don't. The YL crap. Guest guest
Here ya go Chaeya Google search for *PIG FECES probiotic* brings up 11,400 results - many similar to this : *Selection of potential probiotic lactobacilli from pig feces to be used as additives in pelleted feeding* http://tinyurl.com/mm3hk8 Although that reference refers to pelleted feed, who knows what else they add it to........ Old horse men also used to add a handful of *normal* horse droppings to the feed of sick or colicy horses to help settle the gut, so the idea is not new. I think problems may arise when trying to use the method cross species. To all members : Disagreements with other members’ opinions are fine and can be educational, but let’s not get personal or nasty. So from now on lets all play nice together shall we? :-) Thanks. Guest guest
Dear Chaeya, First - my apologies for offending you - that was definitely NOT my intent. Second - I quoted your post exactly - with quotations. My point was not self righteousness or superiority - I suspected that there was likely some truth to what you were saying, but because you made a broad general statement, rather than accurately relaying specific information - it was open to gross misinterpretation by readers, and therefore gross misinformation. Hence my suggestion that you cite your source so that we could get the accurate and useful information you were no doubt intending to share. Your original post was not accurate, nor was it substantiated. If you want your posts to be treated more respectfully and taken more seriously, then you might think about taking the time to compose them more carefully and thoroughly. Guest guest
Okay, so my post wasn't " entirely " accurate but somewhat so, which I fixed the problem by jumping through a number of hoops to get the actual article. Whether you quoted me exactly or not, it wasn't just you, it was that Lavinia chick telling me I need to stick to aromatherapy. I will say this again, I posted it trying to recollect from memory and hope maybe one of my FRIENDS here may have heard something about it, and I will admit I should have added that. But I didn't post it trying to win an award. If someone heard about it great, if not, dismiss me as a rambler. If it was really important to me, which I did, I posted the actual article, so read and enjoy. Otherwise, if I don't substiate it you're free to dismiss me as not knowing what I'm talking about. If you want more info, ask me to substantiate it. I suffer from memory problems, so sometimes I get a little absent minded and forget to read through what I post. That's why I'm not in a field where I have to public medical reports and when I do publish anything, I have to read it through a number of times and have others read it through. I've known enough people in my life to learn how to talk to them. Some of us just need a little help. Guest guest
We all love you, Michele, no worries. (Actually, love you all!) Hugs, Stacey who is again without a PC for the next 3 weeks!
