Hi Lavinia,

Thank your for your post. First of all, Martin is not a moderator or

owner of this group. Liz, Christina, Stacey and I are.

We cannot vet every posting and at times we cringe at the tone of

emails.. Martin has a lot of knowledge and has a very strong following

and no doubt there will be

some vehement posts confirming this after reading your email.

I have crossed swords with Martin on occasions, and while I concede

that he knows what he is talking about, he

does at times write more acidic comments than I personally feel are

necessary. It is all down to personality and how you read things.

On the other hand, it must be frustrating to try to explain the same

thing repeatedly .

May i suggest you have a look at his website and take advantage of his

knowledge. Remember the old saying ' You catch more bees with honey

than vinegar "

or something along those lines. So, please play nice everyone. We are

here to help one another . I believe people get put off when there is

negativity, remember IDMA...

Finally , I hope everyone is sending positive thoughts to the poor

people in Victoria, Australia with the terrible bush fires. Very

scary. I was thinking that if there are any

aromatherapists in our group from Australia who know if we can send

anything to help, please let us know. My husband and I have made a

donation through Red Cross,

but I am thinking along the lines of Sylla's United Aromatherapy Effort.

Cheers

Jeanine
