Secondly .. the reason for avoiding plastic is because almost any essential oil will dissolve and quickly absorb the molecules of plastic. Some EO are especially adept at this and will even quickly destroy most of the commonly used caps on bottles .. Lemon Myrtle comes to mind .. it will destroy most caps in 2 or 3 days. For this reason folks should ensure they use only phenolic caps on their bottles. > Janet > Welcome aboard .. have a nice weekend .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch ... http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/>
Guest guest
Wow, I had no idea! I have some wintergreen oil from years ago that is in a clear glass bottle (something my mother bought at Walgreen's which may not be available now) that still seems effective. I've read in some places to stay clear of it because it's considered hazardous, but have only used a few drops in baths with no problem and I know my mother used it at greater strength than is recommended these days with no ill effects. Thanks for the info and the welcome.
