Guest guest
Universities Like UC Davis in the Insect division will dissect and analyze why bees have died. I would imagine U of Florida or Florida State would have a Apiculture Department. As a division of a larger Emotomology Department. (spelling) Since there is a lot of pollination in Florida and Beekeeping and honey production , you should be able to use these resources. Honey bees can be poisoned anywhere and die after they have flown for some distance depending on how toxic the poison is. One of the reasons beekeepers are very careful in commercial Agriculture is if the spray a field a way, it can kill a whole bee colony. Calling you local Ag person was a good idea because they have the connections and will be able to direct you. When my Dad was young and just graduated from the University of Iowa he served as a County AG person . They do all kinds of helpful things. Bless the bees. They are very busy here even in the Smoke.
