Guest guest
Hi All: I own Pomegranate, Lotus and Plum, a body care line, which is how I discoveed this group, and have seen lots of great advice and words of wisom go by in the last fefw months that I've been a member. I thought to turn to you all for some help now. I was struck by a car while in a corsswalk on May 21, and my shoulder was badly broken -I now have a plate and a bunch of pins in my left humerus (upper am bone). I'm having various other symptoms as well - vision problems and a lot of anxiety about being outside, crossing steets, crowds, etc. I am aware that I am lucky I didn't lose my life or have worse injuries. I have been adding lemon verbena and melissa EOs to epsom salt baths. Does anyone have any other suggestions for good aromatherapeautic support? I'm especially concerned about the vision problems and the stress. I am seeing a regular doctor and physical theapists. THanks in advance, Cecile Johns
Guest guest
How about using neroli for the shock factor. Or Roman Chamomile for its calming abilities. Inhaling neroli or roman chamomile helps me with my Post Traumatic Stress disorder. I also use Frankincense Sacra to pull me back into a more grounded feeling. And rose otto oil to heal my upset. I also use Arnica Infused oil with Helichrysum for bruising. Sometimes mixed with Inophyllum Calophyllum oil. Sorry to hear of your injury. My daughter was hit by a hit and run driver last year in Orange County. The driver did not stop but other pedestrians were very helpful. Guest guest
I've been having severe stress issues for five years now compounded by the death of my mother last year and there are a number of oils that will help you with the stress, so since you have your own body care line I suggest you pick some EOs that you feel drawn to. I made a blend of Clary Sage, Chamomile, English Lavender, Spike Lavender and Sweet Orange that I carry with me to inhale when I have a panic attack because I have trouble being out by myself. I was inhaling it when I went to view my mother's body and at her funeral. However, what helps me the most is the light massage/healing touch I got from my husband. That coupled with my EO blends helped me with my PTSD. It will help you get on your feet much faster. The massage and healing touch is what keeps me out of the mental hospital basically. I'm not suggesting deep tissue massage, it's about the connection of touch and " feeling safe " , that's the kind of massage I'm talking about. It's a shame more therapists do not offer this as a form of therapy because there were times when I didn't want to talk, I had nothing to say. I've yet to find a friggin' shrink to help me with my problem. My husband has been my best therapist. My husband had to spend many nights at 3 am rubbing me down with oils while having an attack. I hope some of this may help you. " This is mainly what Aromatherapy Massage is all about in the UK. Touch, comfort, quiet space & time - blended with oils carefully chosen for the individual and their personal circumstances. Its a shame you're not in the UK - I'd come out of retirement specially for you :-) Take care LLx 2008/6/9 Chaeya <chaeya: > I've been having severe stress issues for five years now compounded > by the death of my mother last year and there are a number of oils > that will help you with the stress, so since you have your own body > care line I suggest you pick some EOs that you feel drawn to.
