Guest guest
Hi, Working in my garden this year I have found one of my vegetable beds is infected with what I believe are Allegany (sp?) ants...the red and black ones. I use peppermint oil to keep ants out of my house, but am not sure if I should use it in the garden where my tomatoes and basil are growing. Does anyone know if the peppermint oil would effect the tomato and basil plants? Another question on this....would the peppermint oil increase other bugs to the plants or possibly act as a deterent? We use well water, so I am very leery of using any pesticides of any kind. Thanks for any advice on this issue. Take Care! Jen
