Guest guest
Hey Stacey, A bit of caution on our bits of caution. > I was just talking today with a co-worker about YL and their mad claims, as well as about Oregano oil benefits in general in another conversation. I'll have to pass this along as yet another absurd YL aver. > When everyone in aromatherapy finally wakes up to just how dangerous these claims are... well, then I will finally rest. > > Take care (of that skin!), > Stacey who lives in a rich fantasy world where everyone laughs jolly and knowingly whenever batsh*t crazy YL claims are mentioned There is no doubt that YL claims are ridiculous .. as are many of those put out by ex-Dr. Cass Igram (North American Herb & Spice) on his radio shows and in his book, " The Cure is in the Cupboard: How to Use Oregano for Health " . However .. we should not throw out the baby with the wash water. The therapeutic properties of all of the Carvacrol rich Origanum's are amazing .. I've written a few hundreds of time on this over the years. I have said that I believe that if the FDA ever puts tight controls on any EO the first one they will hit on will be Origanum because Big Pharm will push them to do so. If I could have but one EO for the rest of my life it would be Origanum. Obviously, there are limits to the capabilities any oil .. the one told to Jeanine (below) far exceeds the limits/capability/safety factors for use of Origanum. One of the biggest problems we face in this industry is mixing of the wheat with the chaff .. and its not just the con artists who do this. There are two studies that were conducted in a totally scientific manner by 5 prominent professors (one also being a medical doctor) in Turkey showing that Origanum totally destroyed lung tumors in rats .. I have written on this often and in September 1999 I presented the study in Toronto .. showed slides of the lung tissue of the groups of rats in the study. BUT .. I also made it clear that the study made it clear that this was not an indication that it would work on human critters .. that far more research was needed before such a conclusion could be reached. I am sure that YL has AGAIN taken a bit of information and spun it to their advantage. When dealing with YL claims its not simply a matter of separating wheat from chaff .. its a matter of separating the white from the dark in chicken manure .. matters not how its separated .. a close examination will determine that its still chicken manure. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com > > David & Jeanine Moss <d.j.moss > > Well it seems that Mr Young is making his presence known Down Under.
