I had a bunch of deer come out of the woods late yesterday afternoon and TRY to eat the young apples on our trees ... our dawg gave'em what for and I hope they'll not come back. What is very interesting to me is the outstanding job y'all have done on your entry way/patio .. that is NOT an easy task. Laying stone over sand is a hassle but it is worth it. Its something I must tackle later this year and I'm not looking forward to it. Our ground level wooden patio is surrounded by stone and rocks over sand .. and the more I think on it the more I am inclined to get a pro to do the job, ;-) Thanks for the nice photos .. good luck with the bear .. and y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com <http://www.av-at.com/>,
Guest guest
Hi Butch, Thanks for the compliments on the patio/paver, but me and hubby did not tackle that job. (We just did the construction with wood parts - Not sure if you went on to our more intensive project photos at http://birchhillhappenings.com/bedbreak.htm#construct. The paver/block work was done by our sons Austin and Jason. They do it for a living. Austin owns the company and has won many awards, National, international and of course State. He is good. In fact the manufacturer - company owner of the paver and block will only have him install the block for them on their estates. Yep, we are pretty proud parents! Back to the little bear - Talked to our DNR - Department of Natural Resource the wildlife manager for our district and he said he probably was just 2 years old and Momma had kicked him out on his own. So being spring is really late here in Minnesota he is undoubtedly hungry. He said give it a couple weeks with no food source here (no more seed s for a while - poor birdies) and he will move on - if not call him and they'll move him to a different location. Anyway, yep, we love the wild life - oops I mean wildlife!! Penny What is very > interesting to me is the outstanding job y'all have done on your entry > way/patio .. that is NOT an easy task. Guest guest
K. Thanks for the compliments on the entrance. Our sons did all that work. And more since. My hubby and I added on our house and the boys did more work this past summer. We are now remodeling our Laundry, Kitchen and master bathroom. We hope to have a newly remodeled home in and out by July this year!! Can't wait for it to be all done. Penny http://birchhillhappenings.com/bedbreak.htm#construct.
