Guest guest
Hi y'all, If you have used your Credit Cards outside the U.S.A. during the period 1 February 1996 to 8 November 2006 .. you are probably due a refund based on a U.S. District Court decision. Apparently the CC companies are not advertising these refunds well enough. I lived in Turkey during that entire 10 + year period so I am now trying to scrape up all of my old receipts. The cut off for applying for a refund is 30 May 2008. I don't know if this applies to other than U.S. citizens because the decision was made by a U.S. District Court. You can check it out here .. http://www.ccfsettlement.com/ and here .. http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/nothing/ccfsettlement.asp and here .. http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?section=104 & article=54731 Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
Butch, I'm expecting a nice fat refund. I spent most of these 10 years overseas, all the time using my US-issued credit cards. Filed my paperwork a couple of months ago, having spent loooong hours putting together my bank statements and receipts. BTW, I doubt that the deal only applies to US citizens. Most likely the settlement has nothing to do with one's citizenship but with whether or not one's credit cards were issued by a US bank. I might, however, be totally wrong about that. Cheers, Nika Butch Owen wrote: > Hi y'all, > > If you have used your Credit Cards outside the U.S.A. during the period 1 > February 1996 to 8 November 2006 .. you are probably due a refund > based on a > U.S. District Court decision.
