Guest guest
Hello Everyone, Just wanting to let you know -- both to the EO sellers and to the NYC aromatherapists on this list -- I'm disappointed to say, one of my favorite bookstores, East-West on 5th Ave at 14th Street in Manhattan, decided to promote and sell Young Living Oils. With all the wonderful independent aromatherapy suppliers represented on this list, offering these over-priced MLM oils in this beautiful bookstore seems so misguided, but from a profit motive, possibly a smart move. Perhaps some of you would join me in writing to East-West about the cautions around taking EOs internally. The teacher they chose to bring to the store for workshops has a recipe on her website for a pain-relieving formula of various EOs that you're supposed to put in capsules and swallow. All the best, Lisa Mertz
Guest guest
Hi Lisa I am glad you wrote this posting. I too am in NYC (Queens) and received my email blast from East West - My fav spot too! I was disappointed to see that they were selling the Young Living EO's. I never felt comforable with YL and prefer other oils. Ironically, I was in Oregon last week for business and in the hotel I was staying in, there was a YL meeting going on in the meeting room..LOL How ironic!! I would be willing to write a letter with you if you like! Melissa
Guest guest
I was wondering has anyone approached one of the Higher ups in YL? I mean with a thought that bridging some kind of knowledge balance between the two? Jennifer (they have a lot of money behind them.) How about using it to our advantage? > - > Melissa > 01:57 pm > ATFE2 > [ATFE2] Re:YL Oils in NYC > > Hi Lisa > > I am glad you wrote this posting. Guest guest
Jennifer, You should try reading the file on my web site. YL is nothing but a bunch of lying cheating con artists. People years ago tried helping them and they do not want anything to do with truth, you do not make so much money by using the truth. Guest guest
Martin, I have read it, and would it hurt to try? I mean I could say.. Why waste my time, but there may be someone out there that is good at politics and actually has an in with them, and that could set up a bridge that would be great for both... I'm also one of those that has a tendency to be the eternal optimist, there's always a way we just have to figure it out... I try to approach everything with an open mind. I believe there's more than one way to proverbially skin a cat. I know that in the past things have been tough for those that tell the truth, and I'm not saying that it doesn't need to be spouted far and wide. It may be that it needs to be done in a way that they don't know that they are hearing the truth. I know that's not so much fun. Point blank truth is my forte. I just believe that you have to speak to people on their level of understanding. It's the old adage, you gather more bees with honey than you do flies with vinegar. I'm not saying " sell out " I'm saying work smarter not harder.
