Guest guest
brew some coffeee.. Thick leaded and DARK. That will get rid of it. Granted it will take a couple of pots, but Either that or turn a fan on.. and face it blowing out the window and have that suck the air out... Guest guest
I know that a bowl of vinegar sitting out is a great way to help reduce the smell of smoke in a room. Wonder if it would help with the paint smell. Take care, Stacey Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device

Guest guest
Just found this on the internet Believe it or not, the onion in water actually works. You know how in chemistry, acid+base = water + neutral biproduct? Seems like onion does the same thing for paint -- it neutralizes the paint smell, and without giving off a strong onion smell J ATFE2 [ATFE2 ]On Behalf Of Liz Monday, 12 May 2008 7:39 a.m. ATFE2 [ATFE2] Paint smell Hi I'm painting at the moment and although I bought the low odour paint it still stinks. In fact I prefer normal paint, this has a dirty smell with it. Any ideas on neutralizing the smell of paint? Ta! LLx
Guest guest
You know - thinking back now my Mum always used to put half onions round the house when they were painting. I never understood why, because to me they DID give of a terrible onion smell that just seemed to overtake the paint rather than neutralize it. I'd forgotten all about that. Thanks for the reminder. If the coffee and vinegar dont work I'll give the onion another chance! Guest guest
Liz, do what the painters do - put two tablespoons of vanilla extract per gallon of paint. Won't change the color, will neutralize the odor. -- - perfumes, aromatics, classes, consultation
Guest guest
That does sound a nice way to deal with it. Thanks for the tip, its one I've not come across.
