Are Sweet Peas Aromatherapy?/Now CO2 Safety

Hi Martin

Glad you mentioned CO2 because although I'm familiar with them in a

way (as in ; had one or 2 samples) I'm not sure of their place in AT

(UK style massage AT that is). Are they safe for skin use? Or would

you just recommend their use for inhalation?

I am only aware of a small number that have been tested, but as always

it depends on which extract and how much. Top class perfumers use co2

and other extracts all the time, as do food manufacturers, but the

volumes they use are minute compared to what aromatherapists for

example might use. This is always the problem when so called 'new'

extracts are introduced to aromatherapy, rarely do the advocates point

out the critical volume of use issues.
