Hi all,

Lisa, thanks for writing in with your opinion. Welcome.

Michele, it's so good to hear from you again.

I really think it's fascinating when I hear someone say that an

essential oil is the " lifeblood " of the plant, I want to understand

how people understand that term, and what it means for them. It's a

beautiful phrase to use. Fully poetic.

I don't know your level of familiarity with Young Living. They are a

multi-level marketing company that refers to the term and uses it in

books, tapes, and videos. They seem to use it to impress that EO's

are the essence - even the heart - of the plant.

When I hear " lifeblood " , I envision a life-sustaining liquid,

circulating in order to transport nutrients throughout the plant body.

It is a lovely thought.

The way I understand essential oils, makes it hard for me to use the

term. EO's operate outside the central circulatory system of the

plant. They attract or detract insects, encourage reproduction, and

provide information. All from small sacs within the plant. But not

in the circulatory system. And not at the heart of the plant.

Still, I would love to further understand the way other people use the term.

Cheers,

Christina

I love you. You are SO darn diplomatic. I need to take lessons from you. I

don't need to go into MY philosphy, you already know it.

And that's me, being diplomatic. ROFLMAO!

Hugs
