Guest guest
Some people here may remember that a few months back I warned people against getting into supplying essential oils due to the decline in, and saturation of, the market. I see now that even the long established company trading under the Tisserand name has sold out to a perfume and alied products company. Can't even find oils on their site anymore: http://www.escentual.com/ I know even some of the other long established companies are having a hard time. One reason is because everyone and their mother have set up web sites selling oils. Often with absolutely no training or experience. So please be very careful not to be misled by fancy marketing hype, they may well be just selling oils and not give a damn about what they sell or how it may affect your health if wrongly used. If I look up the site www.tisserand.com I do find some essential oils. > I know even some of the other long established companies are having a > hard time. Amen! I wish every newbie supplier had a copy of Plant Aromatics on hand to help balance things out. Ta, Stacey
Guest guest
Hey Stacey I looked up the escential oil site. They are selling oils under the tisserand name. They aren't easily located though. Not like all their other " stuff " K-going back into my deep dark hole :-) http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwoobeyqueen On 5/6/08, Stacey <millerslm1 wrote: > > Hi Martin, > Playing devil's advocate here. > > > Some people here may remember that a few months back I warned people > > against getting into supplying essential oils due to the decline in, > > and saturation of, the market. They aren't easily located though. Not like all their other > " stuff " I'm thinking I am very dense since I just don't see the connection here between the Tisserand name and the Escentuals website. To me, it just looks like a bunch of random 'fragrant' crap all labeled under one website. (Christina Aguilera fragrance, anyone?) Is or was this site owned by Tisserand sometime in the past? Did the gentleman once own the name 'Escentuals'? Where am I getting lost here? > K-going back into my deep dark hole :-) > http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwoobeyqueen Any room in there for the rest of us? Guest guest
Hey again Stace From what I understand from what martin said (and I could so easily have gotten it wrong), Tisserand sold out to the Crap Company. Said Crap Company is still selling oils under the Tisserand name, which would make a certain marketing sense as the name carries a certain authority with it. I'm wondering if the Crap Company bought the name and will continue selling oils, or if it will discontinue once they run out of their current supplies. If they bought the name, then they could sell any old crap oil, sell it under the Tisserand name and you won't know what the hell you are getting. But I'm real good at coming up with conspiracy theories and could be way off base. As for my deep black hole, there's only room for one I'm afraid. I sitting in it and contemplating my navel until I can put forth a plan of action. Not intending to sound mysterious, just waiting for news if we're going to move or not. In the meantime, I'm sitting in flipping limbo and going NUTZ! So my dark hole right now is filled with the ravings of a mad woman trying to be patient. ;-) K http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZwoobeyqueen On 5/6/08, Stacey <millerslm1 wrote: > > Hi Kathleen, > > > Hey Stacey > > > > I looked up the escential oil site.
