Guest guest
Howdy Star, > Now Butch, that sounds like some good grub, and fun to > go along with it. Figured some folks would like it .. and I forgot to mention that we have a beach at Paris Landing .. and from that beach is a beautiful close up view of a super nice bridge over the Tennessee River. Lots of natural and historic areas here .. world famous Land Between the Lakes .. Civil War battlefields and museums and such .. antique architecture, etc. The excitement here is Nature .. no bright lights and such .. that's why I'm here now. I got tired of that rat race. Here we have no crime .. just lotsa Suthran charm. So .. if y'all vote for Paris, Tennessee .. we'll be waiting for you here. :-) Keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www/AV-AT.com --- Butch Owen <butchowen <butchowen%40gmail.com>> wrote: > > > Howdy Rhavda, > > > > > Please add the Arlington-Fort Worth-Dallas, Texas > > > area to this poll. Guest guest
Hey Butch, Glad you are here. One of these days I will make it to Paris, Tennessee to taste some of your catfish. However, Texas has some pretty good catfish here too. It seems that when we fought for our independence from Mexico in 1836 that a bunch of you Tennessee people (my relatives included) decided to come and make Texas their home along with their culture. So we claim catfish braggin rights too. How is Alexander and your beautiful wife these days? I have been busy and not been on the lists much for the past several months. I " inherited " a small EMF (Electromagnetic Frequency) Shield business from a friend of mine that has decided to get of the business. He got remarried and his inventions don't do well with his new wife. So I took it over. I renamed it to " EMF Shield Up " and gave it a new look. These little shields do work well. I sold them " officially " for the first time this past weekend at a local fair with my at products and they did better than I ever thought that they would. It's amazing what will fall into your lap when you least expect it and this is one of those things. I'm having fun with it as well as going to make a steady little income on the side. I'm definitely not giving up my at business but who knows what these little children will do. Our son is now at the Marine Flight Training School in Pensacola. He is learning how to be a flyboy. Aren't you glad, Butch that you stayed on the ground as a policeman? You learned so much and saw so much. Take care and I'll get to Paris, Tennessee one of these days. Now don't forget that we have a Paris, Texas, too. And if'n they wanna have this git together next week .. come on Monday cause they are kicking off the World's Biggest Fish Fry and Rodeo here .. gonna have Catfish races and Catfish basketball (I am serious) and a Tall Tale Contest .. and the Budweiser Clydesdales gonna be here .. and we got a Catfish Fry Queen and her 3 Purty Hand Maidens .. and its all gonna be just a couple of miles from my home so I don't gotta drive far and if'n a buncha y'all was to have a few too many Bud Lights I could drive you back to our little mini farm and put you up in the barn. ;-) Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch .. http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
Well, unfortunately I'm not in your neighborhood cuz I'm up to try anything new and I've never had hushpuppies and so far, I've not had catfish that I've enjoyed. Very boney and not worth the trouble to eat... However, having said that, I'm up for trying something new and you make it SOUND good. And I love country sounds and smells, not all of them... Cow poo in massive amounts STINKS. ;-) Also having been hauled around from piller to post and old forts to museums growing up... I'm afraid it's in me bones to enjoy the older sites... and I've never been to a cival war battle field or museum, so I'd be up for that as well. So. this year is a bit dodgey at the mo. I STILL don't know (and won't know for about another 10 days) if I'm moving this summer. If I AM, I won't be going anywhere. If I'm NOT moving, well, I feel in me waters that some sort of trip somewhere would be in order. Whether or not that would be paris... who knows. I've not been to the South. Have avoided it this long and I suppose some " edumocation " should be in order. I'll be keeping me eyes open on upcoming events etc Although, sleeping in a BARN? You got a motel/hotel near by? I'm not sure I'm up to sleeping in a BARN. And I like running water too. a BARN?
