Guest guest
I got ringworm from my cat about 14 years ago. Went to the doctor and got the ointment. The ringworm would fade away and I'd keep using the ointment as the directions indicated. I went back to the doctor and got another ointment- same thing. It kept coming back and itched like crazy. Finally, I asked my Mother (a nurse) and she said to use Iodine diluted with just enough water that I didn't feel the Iodine burn my skin- keep it as strong as you can handle. I just dabbed it on with a cotton ball. Well, it took care of it in a relatively short amount of time and never came back. The worst I had to suffer was pink stains on my body until it was gone. herbal remedies , " kimfreeman46 " <kimfreeman46> wrote: > > > hello... i have cats, and one (that i purchased) had fungus > (ringworm) when i got her. after a terrible battle and the cats > passing ringworm around to each other, i have them well. the bad > thing is, my husband has roscea (skin disorder, hope i spelled that > right) and is susceptible to fungus. he doesnt even really fool with > the cats, but he has 2 huge ringworms on his legs. they have not > spread anywhere else, but he has had these for probaly a month at > least.... since i am very familiar with " cat " problems, i bleach > everything , mop with bleach solution, have done everything i know to > do. we have used tinactin, lamisil, and recently bought " FungRX " > which has neem and tea tree in a almond oil base... he bathes with > colliodal silver in his water, and lavander, and we have tried it > all!!! Guest guest
I would suggest getting black walnut hull powder and mixing it with water and using it as a poultice, bandaging it over the area. BWH (Black Walnut Hull) naturally has iodine in it. It kills viruses as well as many parasites internal and external. Barring that I would look into the files and find the Potassium broth. I'd make a whole shlew of that and drink it as my main source of liquids for a week or so. If you can get BWH tincture (a good one) then add a dropper full of that into each cup you drink. Should go a long way. Something he can do for the rosacea is stop drinking anything other than distilled water. Make some Kidney tea (see files) and drink that and the distilled water or better yet the potassium broth and "Vwalla"!! Miracles will happen. Guest guest
Hi Kim, I would definitely try Black Walnut Hull. Doc Christopher's writings mention this, and Doc Shillington has included this in both the Total Tonic and Panther Piss formulae for it's anti-fungal properties, among other things. Some more that Doc Christopher mentions for ringworm are plantain, and of course, garlic! For the garlic, he says to apply a poultice of freshly grated garlic. I would be sure to put that only over the area in question as garlic WILL BURN the skin! Good luck with this! Sincerely, Zeb - kimfreeman46 herbal remedies Sunday, March 27, 2005 1:50 AM Herbal Remedies - ringworm Zeb, I would like to thank you for the info about ringworm treatment that you gave us... my husband DID use the Black walnut tincture on it (we keep it all the time around here because we make our own from our trees, but never thought to use it on ringworm) and he has been using colliodial silver topically and drinking it too!! You would be amazed at the change!!!! thanks so much, it DOES work!!! kim freemanFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. Guest guest
<<<Re: i have a question regarding ring worm Darren - I've taken Wormwood for parasites and it is excellent. I'm not sure it would help with the ringworm virus. Karen>>>> Darren and Karen, Ringworm is a fungal infection, it is not parasites or a virus. It lives on the skin, although I am sure the internal condition of the body has some effect. My daughter has it presently. After trying several natural treatments, I have resorted to chemist stuff, as it keeps spreading, and it is not in a area I would consider it an option to 'play around' with natural treatments any longer. Having said that, the toxic chemist stuff is not exactly working either, so i am also looking for more alternatives. I may try the iodine. I have taken my daughter off sugar competely until we can kick this thing. Being fungal, even on the skin, I believe sugar in the system is only going to feed it. I'll let you all know what finally works, so far, nothing, and her dad and I are concerned. Peela
Guest guest
Hi Peela, Doc says in his Ailments and Herbal Remedies article for Ringworm: Echinacea Plus formula, Total Tonic, Jojoba and 9% Tea Tree oil Formula. He says "the remedies are listed in order of priority so start with the first formula listed. You may use all of the formulae listed at once also if you wish." If ringworm is indeed a fungus infection, this would suggest an internal problem needing a Total Body Cleanse. Have you considered that? Of course after handling the immediate problem first lol. love Lisa - peela herbal remedies Thursday, May 12, 2005 12:50 PM Herbal Remedies - Re: ringworm <<<Re: i have a question regarding ring wormDarren -I've taken Wormwood for parasites and it is excellent. Guest guest
You not only need to take black walnut, you also need wormwood and cloves. Black walnut kills but you need stuff to help kill the eggs too from rehatching, I followed Dr Hulda Clarkes program on parasite and it worked well. http://curezone.com/clark/parasites.asp My son and I also experienced a phase of getting worse before getting better, so that must be normal. Guest guest
I've been researching cleanses - especially the parasite stuff for my husband. The Intestinal Cleanse has both Black Walnut Hulls and Wormwood. Would it be a good idea to take Cloves with the Intestinal Cleanse to kill the parasite eggs at the same time? Guest guest
Hi guys. A friend has ringworm on his forearm, but hasn't filled his topical antifungal Rx yet. I suggested his girlfriend (who may already be a member here!) put a drop of Tea Tree on a cotton swab twice a day and apply it directly to the affected area, while making sure to avoid the surrounding unaffected area. Anyone have any tried and true EO applications for this that might be better than my suggestion? Thanks, Stacey who has both an inner *and* outer ear infection (UGH!) Guest guest
Hi Stacey I've only had to deal with ringworm once. I used Cymbopogon citratus (Lemongrass) 1 drop Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) 2 drops Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) 2 drops In 5ml aqueous gel. This is a strong dilution; I would not normally go above 3% but ringworm is persistent. Apply twice a day to covered areas, if on hands, reapply after washing. Paint just the ring lesion area. I used gel as it is less messy than oil, stays in place without *running* and avoids the temptation to *rub it in* which <may> increase the chance of spreading the ringworm to surrounding areas. This blend worked for the person I prepared it. HTH LLx On 22/03/2008, Stacey <millerslm1 wrote: > Hi guys. A friend has ringworm on his forearm, but hasn't filled his > topical antifungal Rx yet.
