From what I've read, Jeanine, genetically modified soy is mass produced

comprises most of the commercial soy products. This, in and of itself could

be a big reason for some adverse affects now being observed. Also, mass

processed soy has an important enzyme removed, another thing to look at. I

think that miso, the traditional way that Japanese people eat soy might

still be a good source, or fresh tofu in the dairy case at your local

Japanese market, not the big box grocery store. Rob and I recently picked

up a frozen stir fry from Costco with baby soy beans . . . Didn't agree with

either one of us. Glad when gardening season begins and I can get veggies

from our own garden.

Check out the website www.doctorsaredangerous.com

scary.

I would be interested in everyone's feedback, especially the part

about

Vitamin D assimilation.

Thanks for this, Marcia. It actually makes a lot of sense. It is a pity when

profit is more important than peoples health, isn't it.

We are halfway through autumn here in New Zealand and I have just dug up a

big bucketful of potatoes - first ones I have ever grown, and they are so

sweet! I usually only grow herbs, but have got the gardening bug now- (

rhubarb and tomatoes as well!). There is nothing like picking your own

produce and creating a lovely meal.

Cheers
