Guest guest
Howdy y'all, I see that Christina has posted a poll on these oils. If someone believes that a person who sells either of the above is either a greedy person or ignorant of the facts .. or that not selling them will do a single thing for the Rain Forests of the ecosystems anywhere else .. or save the Sandalwood Tree in and around Mysore, India .. it is highly probable that they also bought the idea of producing biofuels from grain when it first hit the streets. Now we know that the entire concept has caused more problems than they could ever have imagined and as a viable source of alternate energy it is a non starter .. though there are many other viable concepts yet to be studied .. and since the government has now embarrassed itself by not properly studying the grain to fuel concept I am sure that they will not make the same mistake again. Knee Jerks plans are rarely good plans .. and simple solutions to complicated problems are rarely viable solutions. Are Rain Forests being destroyed? ABSOLUTELY! Will an embargo on Rosewood EO save the Brazilian Rain Forest? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Nor will an embargo on Mysore Sandalwood do anything to reduce the number of trees being harvested in Mysore, India. I have written much on these two oils .. and will send some information on Sandalwood as soon as I have time. As for now .. below are three posts I sent to this list .. on Rosewood. I do not have time to edit them now so they are presented as they were originally written. I am neither greedy or foolish .. and I have shown with actions more desire to help my fellow man and our environment than some who simply protest. Until someone presents an viable argument contrary to my opinions .. emotional arguments and positions by wannabe saviors of our planet don't count .. I will continue to sell those oils. But if I stopped selling them I would hardly notice it because monthly profits from such sales don't even pay my company's water bill for a week. ;-) As for Rosewood .. there is none on the market right now .. there is a hold on exports. This hold is not due to the Brazilian government trying to save trees .. its a political thing .. an attempt to stroke certain Western parties that are more righteous than informed .. and it will be a matter of time before exports will again be allowed. As for endangered species .. many Africans in Africa and the average Indian in the Rain Forests are truly endangered .. but it takes a lot more research and personal effort to discuss their plight than it does to suggest simple solutions to the complicated problems of trees being cut down. http://health.ATFE2/message/290 http://health.ATFE2/message/291 http://health.ATFE2/message/292 Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch ... http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
Hi Butch, Thanks for the thoughtful post. No one would dream that you are either greedy or foolish. And I really appreciate the discussion. I wonder if you've had a look at Chrissie Wildwood's site. Curious about what you thought of her findings. Cheers, Christina ..
