Guest guest
This may be news to many, but most people in the US who eats or drinks any kind of packaged food are often taking Essential Oils internally. Companies like IFF (International Flavors and Fragrances http://www.iff.com)make bazillions of products that go into food that is made from essential oils. They are also, as I understand, the largest consumer of essential oils in the world. Companies like them even have weird things like " Lemon Flavor Essential Oil " that is an oil you get if you take the juice from thousands of lemons. It's different that the peel oil, and is the result of many gallons of lemon juice and extracting the oil that floats on top. Take a quick look at their site and you will find stuff that will amaze you. Like what are " cream and butter flavors " ?
Guest guest
This is true, but what is not explained is that the volumes of essential oils used in individual foods are minute. Usually flavor compounds are used which are likely to be a blend of naturals with synthetics. The levels of use of oils in most products are so low the average therapist or member of the public could not use them. This is all completely different to using essential oils internally as often advocated by outfits such as Young Living and others where massive and dangerous amounts are advocated. To all that must be added that the big boys know exactly what they are using re quality, etc. They have the best analysts around. Therapists and the public by and large have no idea and MANY are using fake oils unknowingly.
