Guest guest
Hi guys, We started a new anonymous poll, to find out how many of us smoke. If you have ever gotten together with a group of AT peeps, you know that smoking is par for the course for most folks. And yet, we are in a complimentary health field, and interested in all things natural. Any thoughts on why smoking is a focus? On what is shared among those who smoke? We'd love to hear from you. Cheers, Christina

I've often thought about this and even though I'm going to inspire lots of disgusted sighs I'll say that I think some of us enjoy the more mystical side of smoking... that is, watching the smoke plume as well as the base smell of it. I know, I know: smoking is a miserable addiction, but there is a draw to it and the smell is pleasurable to many smokers. Ta, Stacey who gets closer to stopping smoking for good every time she quits P.S. It didn't seem like there were any smokers except me in Austin last summer... a marked difference from meetups and conferences in the past. Guest guest
Hey Stacey, That's exactly what I intended with bringing it up. I don't think we should bash smokers. Enough of us do it, to make it a thing to be looked at and examined. I have always thought smoking eases grief somehow, or helps some with their heart issues. It's right in that Chakra. Some Aromatherapy enthusiasts are drawn to both the smoking, and EO's and alternative healing. A lot of smokers are organic enthusiasts, too. For the record, you weren't the only one puffing in Austin.... Christina non-smoker, unless you count incense
Guest guest
I'm very allergic to the smoke and whatever is in it. If someone or something smells strongly of cigarette smoke, it's enough to set off the allergies. BTW, anyone have any tried and true smoke-buster blends to spritz items with? I'm moving into a new place with a non-smoker this weekend and want to make sure there's no lingering cigarette smell on any of my belongings. (I'm stopping again. Yay!) The cool part about my new roomie: she was totally intrigued when I mentioned that I have a china cabinet filled with EO's... we may just have a new AT convert. :-D TIA for any blends, Stacey
Guest guest
Way cool! We can drool over Har Mar together (and maybe Jason Bateman). ;-) --\ ------------- Designer at Scrapbook-Bytes http://www.takeapick.com/2IH *Some people only dream of angels; we held one in our arms.* Remembering Jacob March 8 - 9, 1996 Our Angel: http://sids-network.org/fp/jacob.htm - " Stacey " <millerslm1 <ATFE2 > Friday, February 01, 2008 7:08 AM [ATFE2] Re: New Poll: AT & Smoking >> I'm very allergic to the smoke and whatever is in it.
