This discussion helped me understand that I had thought about this wrong, initially. I assumed, based on my experience, that if she couldn't smell the oils, they must not be working. I should have thought about the EO getting into the bloodstream (via inhalation), which has been proven to do the trick. And perhaps it took longer for her to feel the benefit than I expected, so I moved on to tea and ginger-ale. Perhaps by that time, the EO's had finally kicked in. Actually smelling the oils has really, little to do with it in this case. Somehow I missed that before. Thanks for the eye-opener.
