Guest guest
Hi to you all, This is my first posting, I used to be on the IDMA group and the AT Research group and still really miss Tony Burfields fantastic infomation . Any way the reason for my email is to mention that the IFA Australia is no more, apparently England was unhappy with a few school accrediting overseas students. As an owner of an accredited IFA school and a member for over 12 years I was not given any choice as to wether we A. stop the offending schools from continuing this or B set up our own association, we were just told that this was what was going to happen and there would be a meeting to vote for a change of name. Anyway I 've had my little whinge our new name is International Aromatherapy & Aromatic Medicine Association Inc (IAAMA) I'A AM A (WHAT!!!) Quite impressive really, although it may put a few health professionals backs up with the use of the word Medicine. What do others think of this, I am sad to lose the connection to the IFA . I hope that in 2008 there will be lots of exciting things happening in the world of AT that we can discuss, I am currently a student of Natural Perfumery with Anya, and loving it, tincturing is so liberating a while back I tried to tincture one of my huusbands rusty hammers it didn't work but it gave the family a good laugh (at my expense but well hay thats what mums are for Merry Christmas to you all Warm regards Joanne Lang www.aromatherapyaustralia.com.au Make the switch to the world's best email. Guest guest
My first reaction was MEDICINE? My second reation was MEDICINE? Ummmmm. To be frank and blunt (my first and second names), sounds too " medical " to me. In other words, everyone in " I am a what? " is a medical doctor, RIGHT? Nu-uh! I would have voted against that. Sounds wrong, feels wrong, tastes wrong and WHUT was y'all THINKING? Seems to me it's leading down a trail to trouble. Just my opinion and I'm FULL of 'em. Fortunately not a lot of folk often walk hand in hand with my opinion so I'd enjoy hearing what OTHERS thought of this. K going to bed, it's 4 in the morning and I is TIRED On 12/21/07, Joanne Lang <eclipsearomatherapy wrote: > > . > > > -- Kathleen Petrides Publisher http://www.aromaticsage.com

Hi Joanne Congratulations on the new organization, and just a note to let you know you'll have a chance to catch up with Tony in class. He's going to be one of our guest lecturer's in the upcoming year, so let's make sure that we get our timezones aligned. Since you and Tony will be two of the most far-flung attendees, maybe you can coordinate it from " down under " . :-) -- Sincerely, Anya - perfumes, aromatics, classes, consultation Natural Perfumers Guild http://NaturalPerfumersGuild.com 1400 member Natural Perfumery group -
