Guest guest
Hi All, I know that I'm really late in chiming in on this (it's been a crazy few months lately and I'm barely getting back to having some time to myself again and checking the groups) but I thought I would go ahead and put my 2 cents in since this topic invariably comes up from time to time. I myself am a recovering YL-er, although I didn't get to kool-aid drinker status (my skeptical mind just woulnd't let me (should've been born in Missouri instead of Texas). Anyway, the website that Butch referred to in his e-mail: > http://www.mlm-thetruth.com/ was critical to turning me to the light when I was trying to figure out what the heck was going on before I found you guys. I stumbled across this website in my own research and e-mailed Mr. Taylor several times about YL specifically. He was very responsible and informative (he was involved in two different MLMs himself so he know of what he speaks). This site is extremely user-friendly, humorous, has information laid out in an easy-to-read format without all the boring, research techno-speak. One of the headings that you definitely want to check out is " 13 Actions You Can Take " and go to #11. It has Answer Cards that you can print out that definitely say " thanks but no thanks " in a non- offensive manner. Christine's e-mail is right, it's better to take a gentle approach (i.e. more flies with honey than vinegar) as I can say from experience most of the people are usually brand-spanking new babies without a lot of knowledge/experience and are caught up in the excitement of these wonderful oils. Best thing is to keep that excitement they have but get them started in the right direction. Some are truly converted (usually because they have such a huge stake in it) but most are reasonable people who are excited to be introduced to the world of aromatherapy and natural health products and they just need the right guidance/mentoring. Better get back to playing catch up. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!! Crossing my fingers that 2008 will be more relaxed and less stressful.
