Guest guest
It's not too bad. I have Asperger Syndrome. :-) Any book by Tony Atwood is an absolute must in educating yourself about Asperger. The other " bible " would be the OASIS Guide to Asperger Syndrome. They also have a website: http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/ Hope you are feeling better! Guest guest
I couldn't find any with actual sample footage. It was mostly interviews and such. Guest guest
No, I'm a lot better about it, but the school conducted a 50-day test and the only cases I knew of Autism were the severe kind, so I was surprised. However, in backtracking her behavior from birth to now, I see a lot of Autistic traits. However, I've volunteered in physical therapy at Children's Hospital, so I have a good relationship with her. The school has been wonderful in helping her and she has a IEP Team and she will be monitored throughout her time in school. I see in many ways she is very gifted in music and art. It's interesting but she scored extremely high when it came to recognizing and copying designs like octogons and hexagrams. Guest guest
Actually, I forgot to mention that Cisco is working on a play to be out in December called " The Dream Project " about his friend's experience adopting a Romanian girl and finding out she was Autistic. We did a concert in January for TACA (Talk About Curing Autism Now) and the DVD is about to become available. We raised $17,000. Cisco already has a son who is severely Autistic, so finding out about Naomi, although mild, has been a little hard for him. I will check out the site and I'll let you know when the play comes out. I've read the script and it's actually quite good. I am working on a space spritzer at Renato's request (the author of the Dream Project) to help " calm " his daughter when she has a meltdown, or just anyone when they feel their senses overloaded.
