Hi Tracy,

You're facing a really big challenge, because your friend's aromatic

confidence needs to be treated gingerly. Still, I think you have a shot at

starting a slow conversion away from YL.

Get together, face-to-face, and try to show a little enthusiasm for what YL

does well, like get more people involved in EO's and spread aromatherapy to

more people. I would take along a blend that includes Ylang-ylang. Or

maybe two. There is a lot of Ylang-Ylang in YL blends. Dilute it, because

she'll probably put it on her skin. And tell her how amazing your oils make

you feel...using big, splashy terms like transformation, breaking through to

the next level, enhance your total well-being, make you feel more like a

woman, etc.. She'll be able to relate, and it will help her see that you

feel it, too, even though you aren't using YL.

Plant the seed that there are some other companies out there, that may have

therapeutic quality oils, for much less money. If you just make it a

suggestion, she might be willing to listen to it in the future.

Maybe in a follow-up email, you can give her a non-threatening aromatherapy

website, or group, to show that you really care and want to share something

awesome with her. And then wait, as she absorbs it.

I actually think this may be the best way to recover people from YL....it's

starting to work for me.

Cheers,

Christina

Thanks for the great responses! As soon as I heard the message, I knew I

had to write here for nice words to use. lol! Otherwise, I could see me

calling saying something like, " Yuck! Young Living? There founder is a

psycho whack job and they are scary! " Yeah, I'm thinking she might not have

been too happy with me. ;-)
