The program is beautiful, from infants to elders, men and women, and may be taken by day or two day or full program. Includes a one day on postpartum by full time AyurDoula of 7 years, Sonya Bastow, and another day on prenatal and postpartum yoga by master teacher Shar Lee. Health issues such as PMS, regularizing the menstrual cycle and alleviating cramps, yeast infections, ovarian cysts, peri- and menopausal problems, and maintaining health in elder years. (2 days) * JULY 9, 10 Yoga Asanas for Women's Health Shar Lee, CYT , MT The first day will explore Yoga asanas specific to women's health issues. The second day will focus on instruction in prenatal and postpartum Yoga. * JULY 11, 12 Problems of Fertility, Conception, and Pregnancy Terra Rafael ,registered midwife What steps should a couple take in order to insure a healthy child, and what measures are available in Ayurvedic medicine for those who have difficulty conceiving? Ayurvedic approaches to common and serious problems occurring during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. * JULY 13 Ayurvedic Postpartum Care (Sonya Bastow) Introduction to the Ayurvedic concepts used in the Care of Women and infants in the six week period (Kayakula) after the birth of a child. Women who use these tecniques feel better and heal more quickly * JULY 14, 15 Ayurveda and Mens' Health (Gary Tremain) Specific topics relating to men's emotional make-up and reproductive health will be discussed in detail in this seminar, including maintaining ojas and health of shukra dhatu , sexual debility, male fertility, enlarged prostate and prostate cancer, and other diseases of the male reproductive tract. * JULY 30, 31, AUG 1 Gerontology Dr. Bharat Vaidya, B.A.M.S., M.D. (3 days) The processes of aging, as understood by Ayurveda and Western Medicine, the general uses of rasayana to maintain health, and treatments for specific diseases of aging.
