Guest guest
Hey Vicky, I think of you every time I see the big bull kelp on the beach here, and wish I could get it to you. Didn't see any today, but 3 days ago there was lots! This sounds really smart - lots of iodine and very alkalizing. Ysha > and re: thyroid issues, I have started taking some kelp every day. I powder the green leaves after they're dried and cap them up. probably better than going on a drug. I harvest kelp (bull whip) out of the ocean for art anyway. Guest guest
Just a reminder since this became an off-topic discussion, that for anyone with high vata and certainly for postpartum mums, they will respond much better to kelp cooked into soup, dhal or sauce rather than in capsules! Dr. Doulliard's website video on thyroid says he has found a tablet product which is very helpful, probably requiresmuch less dosage than kelp, though with your kelpy lifestyle *o) this sounds perfect for you! Guest guest
Maybe you can, not sure about your mamas. I don't see much discussion at all amongst ayurvedics on the seaweeds, though there seem to be excellent quality sources for their excellent gifts properly used. > oh, that's interesting. darn, i thought i could avoid the taste of the kelp through the use of capsules:) > > Vicky York, IBCLC, CPD > Postpartum Care Services > www.vickyyorkdoula.com
