This is comforting to know my trust in that company was not broken; posted by my

mentor, Vicki Opfer.

Hi Everyone,

The people who create the products for YL are very conscious about the health

and wellness of their children, in particular.

I spoke with our research department today, and while hand sanitizer

is made with ethanol, what makes it so poisonous is how it is

denatured. Most hand sanitizers on the market are denatured with

methanol, which is a poison and, in the words of one of the research

people, " makes you an idiot before it kills you. " The people in our

research department use our hand sanitizer on their children, and feel

comfortable with that.

Our sanitizer, as well as the Thieves Wipes have ethanol that has been

denatured with cinnamon essential oil. It is also legal to denature

ethanol with clove and peppermint essential oils but no one uses

essential oils to denature (except YL) because of the cost.

Ethanol, itself, is not poisonous, but it's also not good to drink

it. It's basically grain alcohol. So if our children got a hold of a

hand sanitizer, while it would not be great for them to be drinking

alcohol, it would also not poison them like the example we heard.

Have a wonderful evening!

Vicki

(PS - those wipes are not for tender tushes, they are for cleaning - Ysha).

> This Thieves hand cleaner does have denatured alchohol in it! My sincere

apologies for making an assumption before double checking.
