Guest guest
A postpartum client of mine has a recto-vaginal fistula. Evidently when sewing up the episiotomy they took a stitch right through the rectal wall. Now fecal matter seeps through to the vagina when the mom has a bowel movement and there is a lot of pain there. All the drs. can talk about is pain meds and maybe surgery in the future. Does anyone know of anything soothing and antibacterial that could help this healing process? Also any diet recommendations? Momma is so scared of becoming the slightest bit constipated. And yet if the stool is too soft there is more likelihood of the stool leaking across into the vagina.
