Hi Sonya -

Check the references in your essential oils unit, the chapter - third trimester

or birth, I forget which. More than eoil suggestions there (that whole

perinatal unit was my catch all for many tips outside immediate postpartum).

Peppermint oil on tummy near baby's head has worked well, also myrrh oil all

over tum as I remember. There's a good link there to a midwife's abundant

resources site also.

Sometimes a modality of bodywork called Core Synchronism is very helpful in

aligning mama and baby. If she lives in the Albuquerque area, there are

practitioners here.

Also, there is still time for baby to turn on their own..How long has baby been

breech?

There are a couple other options if baby still does not turn. Otherwise, maybe

baby will just be a breech baby?

Take Care

--thanks for the ressponses the baby has been breech awhile but has moved some.

I understand that it usually will work itself out by 36 weeks but feel I need to

provide some research on the matter. I have never heard of Core SYnchronism but

will look into it and the chapter in which Ysha is referring to. She has

already been doing excercises in the pool and moxa from accupuncture.

Hey Sonya,

Kai was breech until literally 1 week before the due date. I saw an osteopath

in boulder that specializes specifically in cranial sacral work and during one

of my sessions with her the baby literally flipped. It was incredible and

apparently common with her. She is at boulder osteopathy on pearl street. Hope

this helps.

Peace ,

Betsy

A woman called me for Ayurvedic guidance one year who was getting close to her

due date, with lots of upper body heat. This is not about breech baby, but

about apana vayu (the downward energy governing elimination, menstruation,

ejaculation and yes, childbirth) being in the wrong direction. We were able to

resolve other important issues, then I recommended she call an Ayurvedic

physician for her chronic heat concern; she felt very uncomfortable still and I

felt mystified.

We talked with Dr. Jay Apte who advised simple remedies since she was within her

due window. Jay advised 3 things which were with understanding it was ok if the

castor oil might precipitate labor. Drink a couple cups of strong fenugreek tea

to bring the heat down and energy back to lower body. Take cool baths. And

take castor oil.

However, this mother never had to take the castor oil. She went into healthy

labor and birth experience within a day or two. The baths felt good and the

fenugreek tea also, which right away brought the heat downward instead of

upwards, putting the body back into balance with apana vayu even though it is

said to be a warming herb. And even though it is not a laxative type herb

energy. It is also used to bring down actual fever sometimes.

I have no idea if this experience sheds any possible good ideas for breech

babies. am looking forward some day to seeing the Core Sync work, Rebeka!

Warm Regards,

Ysha
