Guest guest
Just was reviewing some notes on massage type practices for the 4 trimesters, particularly preparation for labor and delivery. The Dhanwantari institute posted a really nice article, where they talk about starting 3rd trimester and also in 4th month, padding the perineal area with oil as well as massaging. I like this idea. Have never worked with it yet. Is anyone experienced here? How much time, how much/type oil, how much cloth... without such guidance, I'd try an appropriately folded piece with some herbalized if possible, coconut, sesame or other ashwagandha oil laced with geranium oil soaked into it, on top of a little menstrual pad at night. Undoubtedly a number of the more expensive oils would also be suitable, though again, the antimicrobial extras of coconut and sesame also sound wise. Guest guest
I have been taught from my ayurvedic mentor - soak a tampon in oil and insert for 4-6 hrs daily during the last week of pregnancy. This helps the cervix to soften & thin. Wear a pad while the tampon is inserted. ayurveda , " ayurdoula " <AyurDoulas wrote: > > Just was reviewing some notes on massage type practices for the 4 trimesters, particularly preparation for labor and delivery.
