Prerequisite : AYURVEDIC MEDICINE LEVEL ONE ****** SEPT 12-14, 26-28

 

 

 

DATES Oct 16 evening thru Oct 30

 

AyurDoula Intensive - 75 Hours

 

Theory and skills of Ayurvedic postpartum doula care, 250 hour certificate

program.

 

Support mothers and babies after childbirth with deep and rapid rejuvenation

- avoid mood imbalances -

 

avoid colic and more!

 

 

 

Part 1 Oct 16 evening thru Oct 23rd lunch

 

Includes - Foundations of Ayurvedic Postpartum Care - Ayurvedic Cooking and

Nutrition - Delicious Ayurvedic Postpartum Cooking - Special Breastfeeding

Supports - Baby's First Foods - Therapeutic Uses of Essential oils - Basic

Herbal Food Supports - Ayurvedic Infant Massage. Internship begins with

homework from these classes. Students will enjoy hands on with meals,

babies, herbs and essential oils.

 

 

 

Part 2 - OCT 24, 25, 27-30

 

Ayurvedic Postpartum Home Spa Care protocols - Advanced Postpartum Herbals -

Ayurvedic Postpartum Wisewoman Consultation - Support for many common

problems, and Support for your AyurDoula Business. Students will enjoy

hands on with the mother's hot oil application, simple Panchakarma home

cleansing protocol and observing client consultations. Internship continues

with your homework and proficiencies practice; optional extra hours

available.

 

 

 

Deposit $650; Cost: $1935 or $1735 if received by Aug 28th. Includes

internship fees to preceptor.

 

Does not include housing and food costs (Housing and food cost aprox $980

for the full 2 weeks)

 

Trainees need to register and pay separately for: Ayurvedic Medicine I and

An Introduction to the Ancient and Powerful Health Care Practice of Ayurveda

 

Ayurvedic Medicine is the complementary medical system of ancient India.

 

It is particularly effective in personal and family health maintenance, and

in the management of

 

Digestive disorders; chronic degenerative illnesses; allergies, sinus

infections and asthma;

 

Inflammatory conditions, gynecological issues, depression and anxiety.

 

Ayurveda teaches us how to maintain a high level of wellness throughout our

lives,

 

and fosters a balanced approach to the health of Body, Mind, and Spirit.

 

 

 

This professional training introduces:

\ Assessment of Ayurvedic Constitution (prakriti)

 

\ Assessment of Current Imbalances, Pulse and Tongue diagnosis (vikriti)

 

\ Daily and Seasonal Routines for Health

 

\ Ayurvedic Dietary and Nutritional Principles

 

\ Introduction to over 50 basic herbs, spices, and medicinal oils

 

\ Simple home remedies for common ailments

 

\ Ayurvedic Anatomy and Physiology

 

\ The use of Cleansing Practices and

 

Yoga Therapies for Maintaining and Restoring Health

 

This course is a prerequisite for other more advanced Ayurveda classes at

the Rocky Mountain Institute, which offers a wide variety of

certification-level courses in Ayurveda, Yoga Teacher Training, and Yoga

Therapy.

Mountain Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda, Adjunct professor, Metropolitan

State College Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner and Yoga Therapist, Former

Board of Directors, National Ayurvedic Medical Association. This is a 45-hr
