Guest guest
Hello, I just moved to Aberdeen Washington. The hospital is helping with my debt for grad school and in return I am going to re-build...refocus the birthing unit. Where are you going after you leave Longview? How long have you been there? I have a question...I am looking fopr mock drills. More precisely shoulder dystocia drills. Do you have anything that you would share? Thank you for touching base with me.. Guest guest
Hi April - I've been in Washington since October, came up here to do some intensive care for my own mother and am housesitting now while getting my career up and moving again. I'll be going back to Albuquerque, New Mexico. ABerdeen, not far from here? It sounds like you are looking for birth doula support, or more like midwifery support! There is an experienced midwife on our forum sometimes, TAmy Roloff, based in Long Beach WA who now teaches doula and midwifery material through some online school also. She used to be in Spokane where her family ran a large health food store - they are starting over in small town, doing a great service in Long Beach. Hopefully she is paying attention and can help you with this. You will love her, I'm sure. I recently saw some supplies you can order from a catalogue to demo this actually. AHH, Andrea's mail...a CHildbirth Graphics catalogue! Do let me know if you would like to get together and visit? I'd be delighted to have you stop in. Guest guest
The hospital is helping with my debt Hey April, well that's a sweet deal. And hopefully, they are also paying you enough to live on and play with!!! Welcome to this amazing forum. I'm a bit of a bystander (not ever having been pregnant). If i'd known about people, like the ones in this group when I was in my conceiving years, I surely would have had children. They are fearless, and committed to the cause of loving births! Your newly designed hospital unit can learn a lot from them. Guest guest
Patti, Thank you for the warm welcome and yes they are doing just fine. When you are in grad. school you do not think about those nasty payments. When you finish and it hits...well it hurts. I made some serious decisions along with my daughters and off I went to Washington. I read about the group and felt like it would be a great place to discuss concerns etc about birth. Thanks again, April ________________________________ Patti Garland <patti ayurveda Thursday, March 12, 2009 6:35:47 AM Re: PerinatalAyurveda forum Re: Birth Center Director, Washington The hospital is helping with my debt Hey April, well that's a sweet deal.
