Thanks for your reply Ysha, She has been on a heavy dose of antibiotics

she feels like maybe it is gone but now has thrush. I will be doing

dietary specifics for that she is not interested in herbal support. It

is ok to give the massage with thrush right?

I went out of town for the weekend just got your messages. I will try

Hi Sonya -

 

Yes on the massage for her. So, what is her prakruti/vikruti looking

like now (mixed with the obvious high vata!).

 

Notes that with thrush, often candida shows up more and I " ve seen the

moms manifest sensivity to heat from (I forget why) pitta ama. I have

had a couple clients not want the massage due to the oiliness, perhaps

as they feel not only too warm with that pitta, also the connectivity

of the oiliness and warmth together can make them in this case feel on

the claustrophibic in a body that is muggy side, if that makes any

sense.

 

I would favor coconut or sunflower oil over sesame in this case, due

to that pitta, or a mix, and be sensitive about the hot water bottles.

Or in extreme, even favor polarity/marma/jen shin jytsu type energy

work instead, like we do if they are sick and the massage is

contraindicated. Anything to help remind her again and again to

simplify, rest, and support body to do its invisible work.

 

so that was you on the phone - I'm glad I figured out who that voice

was...I hope you are feeling better. Pamela said something about

getting together next week when I'm in Boulder too. MOnday or Tuesday

works for me - try my cell in case I'm out.
