Guest guest
Hi All - A client just was emailing with some questions and I asked if we had discussed the 8th month recommendations, as that is a time many mothers overdo, get into risk of early delivery, and part of the reason this happens has to do with the nature of the 8th month exchange of ojas, finest product of digestion, between mother and her unborn baby. Here is the other notes I sent her, and perhaps you will be able to guide some mothers around this also. Without following this advice best one can, mothers can become very unstable and feel rather dried and fried. It is strange how many families end up moving household during the 8th month - best to choose that time to discontinue a taxing job and to not travel or move, at least engaging as much help for the work as possible. One young very healthy mother I supported last year was so advised but already had booked a trip out of the country to teach yoga with her husband. She found she did not have the energy to teach she expected, and had some unexpected difficulty on her return sleeping well, and feeling well. She went into labor actually with the flu. 8th month best not to travel or be moving, rather more reclusive and in spirutual practice, meditation, prayer, reading scripture, and enjoy pictures of happy healthy babies, and saints, is what they say! Lean in this direction best you can in other words. Also especially favor sattvic, ojas enhancing foods. MInimize fermenteds, leftovers, meats, favor fresh/freshly cooked top quality foods, dates, ghee, butter, fresh milk and freshly made yoghurt, oranges, amalaki, honey, these wonderful herbs in your formula, fresh sweet fruits, like that. Most likely we have another post or two in the archives on this topic. Blessings, Ysha
