This seminar will explore herbs and medicines which are considered appropriate for infants and children as well as suitable ways to administer medicines. Basic nutrition and health measures which promote resistance to many child hood diseases will be discussed *July 26- 27: Women's Health Care through Ayurveda Dr. Sarasvati Buhrman, Ph.D. This seminar explores the health of women throughout the cycles of their lives from menarche to elder years. We will address health issues such as PMS, regularizing the menstrual cycle and alleviating cramps, yeast infections, ovarian cysts, cancers, and other disorders of the reproductive tract, peri- and menopausal problems, and maintaining health in elder years. *July 28: Yoga Asanas for Women's Health Shar Lee, CYT Instruction in prenatal and postpartum Yoga and special Yoga asanas for women's health. *July 29- 30: Problems of Fertility, Conception, and Pregnancy Sarita Shrestha, M.D.(ob.gyn) What steps should a couple take in order to insure a healthy child, and what measures are available in Ayurvedic medicine for those who have difficulty conceiving? Ayurvedic approaches to common and serious problems occurring during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. * July 31: Ayurveda and Mens' Health Gary Tremain Specific topics relating to men's emotional make-up and reproductive health will gbe discussed in detail in this seminar, including maintaining ojas and health of shukra dhatu , sexual debility, male fertility, enlarged prostate and prostate cancer, problems of aging, and other diseases of the male reproductive tract.
