Guest guest
Hello all, Thanks for the wonderful date smoothie recipes! They were a hit for the entire family. I am hoping to begin the panchakarma this weekend. The only thing is I am using Dr Lad's method and he recommends 2 oz of ghee for the first few days. I need a better measurement, is that like 1/4 cup? Also I have been putting ashwaganda in my milk tonics at night, should I stop that during the cleanse? Thanks and I look forward to your answers. Also there is an event here in the Bay (or actually more towards the coast) if anyone is interested: http://www.mountainayurveda.com/events.html Looks like a great weekend Sincerely, Shannon Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Hi Shannon - I think that is a couple tablespoons, (1/8 cup?) that would likely work anyway. Many of us do 2-4-6-8 Tbl over 3-4 days. Medically supervisied PK will vary tremendously what is used. I've heard use of 1 tsp gradually increased increments (that's nothing for many of us!) over 10 days to huge amounts in India, but that's under doc's supervision and personalized dosage. I'd stop the ashwa and milk tonics, during your home cleanse. The oleation will create a wonderful grounding, clarity, soothing and calm as it alkalizes, absorbs toxins, and moves thru your system. Happy to hear you all enjoyed those recipes! Oh, the Bay means the Monterey Bay area - nice, Ayurveda in the Mountains near Santa Cruz, California. Namaste; Ysha > I am hoping to begin the panchakarma this weekend.
