Guest guest
Namaste! I have been lurking on this list for quite sometime. While I have found it a great portal of information and inspiration, I have yet to formally introduce myself. There's no time like the present! Surrendering to the Goddess is the best way to describe my life right now, which means accepting that I have no grand plan for the future, but living each day being guided to my heart. My heart has brought me to Ayurveda both as a lifestyle, a healing profession and as a path to my Divine Feminine. My work focuses on nurturing women through yoga and ayurvedic bodywork, and I am slowly beginning to teach ayurvedic basics - planning some workshops as we speak. Postnatal work interests me greatly - what a powerful way to change the world for the better! I bring to this work my degree in physical therapy and experience in infant development (working with families whose children are at risk for either developmental and/or mental health challenges) as well as my training as a yoga instructor (including Yoga for the Special Child). I have been fortunate enough to study Ayurveda here in my home of Ottawa with two of Dr Lad's students, and be mentored with their bodywork technician. Though, for me, its the teachings of Swamini Mayatitananda that resonate strongest. I have just returned from studying with her in India, and will go to North Carolina to study with her again this June. I've spoken before with Ysha about getting the AyurDoula course notes, and think that now really is the time - I'll be in touch soon! I am so grateful to be a part of this group! Jai Ma! Guest guest
Dear Tanya; It is a delight to learn more of your sister mother spirit. And I'd personally love to hear more about Swamini's program in India - was it a spiritual retreat, Ayurvedic education, some combo? I've thought often recently about the depth of heart and earth friendly wisdom she builds into her teachings, giving back the art of taking time to be aware and honor the foods as you prepare them, all her food sadhana. What parts of it I keep in my life lively clearly give sacredness to the food for whoever eats it. We rush and cut corners in the Kali Yuga times so much. Warm Regards; Ysha > I have been lurking on this list for quite sometime. While I have
