Guest guest
Requested I post for her this one since she accidentally sent to me privately: I have heard that once you start taking a thyroid medicine you have to take it forever. Ysha, does anyone know if there is any other way of correcting a high or low thyroid without forever meds? Vicky York, IBCLC, CPD Postpartum Care Services Portland, Oregon http://mypeoplepc.com/members/vmyork/ http://vmyork.ikarma.com/id269 > Well I have had hypothyroidism since I was 22 years old, I am 29 now. Prior to giving birth for the first time I had stayed on a dose of 88 mcg for 4 years. After taking Zoloft and recovering from the hyperthyroidism as well, I went hypo even worse and had to take
Guest guest
Hi Vicky - Some can and some it seems can't rejuvenate the thyroid. One of our group members has done major commitment to see if hers would rejuvenate, and feels it has been too many years on the thyroid meds. Dr. YOung destroyed his thyroid in a logging accident over 30 years ago, and has been using the Thyromin product well, since he developed it Im not sure how long ago, probably at least 9 years. He now uses maintenance dose of only 1-2 a week, last I heard. When people start with this product, often there are high daily doses at first until your regular rx gets reduced by the doc, then reduce this also to appropraite levels tested by doc and basal metabolic temp in ams. I heard one woman report after 9 years on (synthroid, or the other one I'm not sure) and 9 months graduated work with the thyromin, she was off all. you might want to read this much info not just on that product I've collected so far. It is my collection, not my licensure to prescribe for this of course. I know at least several on forum have much more knowledge from ayurvedic point of view, but not everyone reads all the posts. See this link to the files section: http://health.ayurveda See the folder for herbs and other options, in it the file called Thyromin or some such. One of our essential oils blends is beneficial for both hypo and hyper, but not on its own generally corrective. Feels great. Guest guest
you can heal your thyroid just like most of the rest of your body and spirit and belief systems. you need to find a practitioner that knows what they are doing, work with where the person is at, and rebuild and mend the endocrine system. we do it all the time, Shawna Ysha Oakes <AyurDoulas ayurveda Wednesday, March 26, 2008 12:31:30 AM PerinatalAyurveda forum Re: thyroid question from Vicky Hi Vicky - Some can and some it seems can't rejuvenate the thyroid.
