Dr. Lad's recent seminar here in Albuquerque was wonderful, as usual

to learn from such an experienced teacher, practitioner, and special

presence. It was very enlightening into the tools and pathways

available, and the connection of physical body, feelings, mind,

emotions, and spirit for the etiology, pathology, healing processes

and practices around this huge topic. The approach is very holistic,

of course, in fullest sense which is about restoring wholeness.

Much attention was given on importance of prana and its connecting

role between mind and nervous system, and key role in releasing stored

trauma. Special pranayam practices were given for this and by dosha

needs also. Although most of those are not appropriate for pregnancy

or early postpartum they will be very usueful in preparation for

conception, and supporting transformational processes at other times.

Shirodhara and Marma were demonstrated, key herbs, sound therapy in

seed form of key mantra also discussed. All in context of many ways

trauma becomes experienced and lodged in the body, which types of

emotions in which organ, which emotion is rooted in which of the three

gunas and three doshas. He also explained that there are three doshic

types of crystalization that occur in the connective tissues, where

the trauma tends to get lodged on the physical level.

We were all fortunate to have his brief assessment of our manas

(mental) vikruti (imbalances) and prakruti (natural balance), which

appear in the 2nd and 6th level pulses. His skill (and the skills and

wisdom of Ayurveda!) is amazing.

Namaste;

Ysha
