Guest guest
Discussion so far: > Dear Ysha, > > There is a mother here in town, who has a approx 5 month old with very high lead poisoning.. It is a complicated story, but as I understand it the mom connected with Dr. Raju in India and got two herbs from him for pregnancy. One with ayurvedically prepared lead. She took more than the prescription (not knowing what it was...) Anyway, later in the pregnancy she suffered from sever stomach pain and numb legs.. the hospital figured out what it was and I think began chelation(sp?) therapy... The baby appears to be fine with no detectable retardation, but has 40% mercy... apparently 10% can be lethal in kids... Dr Raju said they will be ok, but the mom doesn't seem to trust him anymore and is taking the modern route...she still has a few more treatments before her metal levels will be closer to " safe " .. She seems fine, though very upset. I told her about the young living protocol and she said she would be interested to try it as soon as she finishes with the hospital treatments... but to make a long story shorter, there was nothing they could do for her baby... Do you know if we could use a milder form of YL oils on him? Or of something else??? > > Thank you for your time! > Love, > Chandra > Dear Chandi; > I'm not sure where to go with this except to ask my mentor, Vicki. I " m bcc to her and she can see your address; hopefully I " ll be included in the loop. I would hot hesitate to work with several oils with the baby, and I also would include ample red cabbage (dried and powdered/cooked/seasoned with cooked garlic or ginger for vata) in the mother's diet (which is said to be favored by the old stain glass artists when they used to use lead in their work to help remove it safely. To what extent, I don't know. Re oils, the protocol you refer to was tested valuable for releasing mercury quickly into the urine for elimination, but I don't know if we have research on lead. I would not have problem using geranium, chamomile, or many other gentle and liver supportive oils, and the stronger ones in dilution if it were my baby. But a protocol...for mom or baby,. not sure, and undoubtedly a personalized one is wise. > > Wow, how did Raju come up with a toxic form of lead? He knows his stuff, masterfully, with herbs. Interesting her desire to over use it, too. Anyway, I'm not sure what else to say right now, will chew on it. > > Love and blessings, > Ysha Hello Ysha, I'm not aware of any oils that we can use. What about homeopathic Plumbum, part of a tablet, melted in the baby's mouth? Vicki Thank you Vicki; I'll pass this on. Sounds like a wise way to work with an infant. I would find someone good at ayurvedic pulse assessment for Baby, and additionally muscle testing guidance. have them ask about oils as well as confirmation/dosage on the homeopathic. Chandi, I use oils on babies on tummies, chest, upper back, feet, even head as needed, or sometimes just diffuse from hands, wearing or shaking/diffusing in the room. Slight dilution, 1:2 or 1:3. I would think in this case actual topical for tummy/liver/and kidney area as well as feet would be tops, adding something for kidney function if that is how lead is excreted, I don't know. Babies respond quickly with very little. Main thing I don't know is what happens when it comes out of the deeper tissues and how it is released, where and how toxicity manifests. Brain tissue is mostly lipid, other lipid tissues or organ tissues in my opinion are where it likely sits. So using extra lipids, not just for mom but even feeding the baby some ghee on fingertip mixed with 2-3 grains max each of calamus root, licorice and brahmi or tulsi about 3 times a day would be part of my protocol if it was my baby. REd cabbage can be dried and powdered and added to that, if it was my baby I'd try it but watch for gas. Probably ok, dried in teeny tiny amount with the calamus. Remember a grain of hing in navel can help baby's digestion. I'd be doing a topical dilution of lemon sounds good for some reason (probably the glutathione liver antioxidant enhancing property), juvaflex, geranium, chamomile, whatever oils choosen, with castor oil (helps detox) and warmth on the belly, and be extra careful the baby does not get constipated. The ghee will help there too, and mom's Ayurvedic home postpartum program especially helpful/carefully monitored with the extra oleation factor. Just ran accross a pamphlet about use of Zeolite, " Nature's Heavy Metal Detoxifier " ; powdered not liquid form, apparently chelates well and safely properly used. Author Dr. Peiper, ND. How to use with a baby? Anyone have info on this mineral? They do use with children, in capsule form. Love, Ysha
Guest guest
She needs to do Cilantro juice. It gets the heavy metals out of the system. Dona Smith Ayurdoula, Ayurvedic practitioner, Jinshin Jyutsu practitioner Hi Dona; I know it is supposed to be good for mercury, and others bymost people's take. Have also seen a big disclaim it report though I'm not sure the source is that reputable/motives. Good idea to use for immune system as well anyway, as long as she adds ginger or something to take the strong cooling property into account. A fresh ginger chutney or pesto daily would be great! Great to hear from you, we have some catching up to do soon, eh? Love and Blessings; Ysha
