Guest guest
Hi Vicky, I have a pumping feeding question for you. My husbands boss has thrush and was instructed by a lactation consultant here to pump and feed the baby a bottle while her sore nipples heal for a couple of days. She called me frantic that she was not producing enough milk and that the baby keeps rooting after a feeding although he has been finishing a 3-3.5 oz bottle every 1.5 hours. She is pumping every 1.5 hours and gets 2oz. then she will get 1oz. Is it possible that he is still hungry or do you think that perhaps the milk could be so easy to get that he drinks quickly then gets tummy upset? He is only just 2 weeks old tomorrow. I will be seeing her tomorrow for the first time to give her a massage and cook for her which I think she desperately needs and I will have a better idea things. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, Sonya
