Guest guest
warm hugs from sweden, i am new to the group and would like to introduce myself. my name is jayashree noel, i am an american living in sweden....i married a swede:) i am mother to three beautiful children, a teen and two wee ones. i joined this group mainly for two reasons, one: fmainly to connect with like minded women-mothers-healers with whom i can talk about things most prevelant in my life...that beibng motherhood, children, ayurveda and bodywork. & two: i am also a ayurvedically inspired bodyworker....soon to go to work in this field professionally & i am now about to begin my formal postpartum doula training (i havent decided or found the " right " school yet because i am living overseas and do not speak swedish sigh~~~so i need a really good online course) when i came across the ayurdoula website i really felt like this was it!!! (alas i cannot attend the training but i eagerly await the revised book)it can and is being done......how perfect to combine both ayurveda and doula services!!! i was thinking of a way to present that myslef in my work as it feels so right in my life, motherhood and ayurveda. if anyone is interested in knowing more about me, please send an e mail and i will send you a link to both my myspace accounts. (it saves alot of typing too:) well enough said i suppose, i am thankful to be here with such an inspiring group of people! oh yes and often i am typing one handed with chhildren " helping " mama so please excuse typos and spelling errors! jai ma'! jayashree noel
Guest guest
welcome to this wonderful group, Noel. You will learn much here. You can find trainings in pp doula work through CAPPA & DONA & MaternityWise (which is correspondence) but nothing like what you would learn from Ysha's trainings, http://www.sacredwindow.com/TRN-Portal . Guest guest
Thanks Vicky and Noel; There is very valuable information taught through the organizations you have mentioned below which I purposely don't cover, others teach it so well and we require it or equivalent for those serious about AyurDoula work. There is a correspondence option with the AyurDoula training which is no where near the same but gives the theory and guidance, testing, practice proficiencies listed, and is designed fro those who cannot come either as mothers, too far, too expensive, or already have much ayurveda and/or perinatal care experience.
