Ysha,

what would be the best general e-oil to put into an infant massage

oil? I was thinking gentle baby or peace and calming and lavendar.

Also, what would be the ratio of fennel e-oil to carrier oil on infant

tummies for infants with gas?

P.S my lady responded very well to the e-oil protocol you gave to me of

peace and calming on inner breast, joy midline from nipple frank on

cheeks and valor on feet. She felt so much less anxious but it is not

over yet. I will let you know.

thanks Sonya

HI Sonya;

That first blend ( " Gentle Baby " ) or the lavender are top of my list,

or chamomile but that is more cooling. The blend has so many skin

friendly, sattvic oils and as you know is enhancing to bonding, good

for Mama's belly marks too. I wouldn't use the one with the citrus in

it for massage though probably ok, maybe a more kapha baby. The

patchouli in that blend smoothes it, but prefer that blend for

localized use or diffusion. Geranium is one of the top 4 or 5 for

babies in my book too, not only helpful for assorted skin things and

motherwise influences, but liver supportive (such as with jaundice)

and cradle cap help; nice mix with lavender if you have these.

I use the fennel oil 1:2 or 1:1; on unhappy leetle tummies that's just

one drop fennel and similar amount carrier oil. Don't rub much when

first applying to let the eoil soak in. Come back over for tummy

circles during the infant massage or few minutes later with some

warmth. And the baby " exercises " of course help move the gas or

constipation out too. Good first aid options while you get Mama/Baby

nutrition in better order.

Glad to hear your lady was able to use the oils; her case sounded like

there is some homework to do to get her vata down; it is a perfect

illustration of timely use of the eoils modality. But are you all

working with the Ayurvedic herbs? I can't remember what we discussed,

but I'd be suggesting a personalized formula for her at this time to

stabilize physiology, nervous system, raise neurotransmitter levels

and address likely ama is it?
