i am thinking gentle pressure to ease hemmorhoids inside

with witch hazel cold compresses (keep 4 by 4's in refig,

with witch hazel in bowl), take out and use after each

bowel movement.

This will shink hemmorhoids and you can gently ease them

inside and make disappear!

Yoga, Diet and Lifestyle may not have helped someone to dissolve 8cm

(lemon size) two

ovarian cysts, as posted by a western lady herself at

http://health.ayurveda/message/1405

A patient of this author, in addition to the above technique,

followed castor oil pack fomentation for nearly 3 months and fibroids

were gone!!!!!

http://health.ayurveda/message/1447

Cysts,

fibroids are all Kapha or Kapha+pitta growths and growths can be

tackled by using natural " no medicine " approach. Using aloe vera pulp

or castor oil pack is considered " natural " or " herbal " here. Many of

the home remedies nicely merge with diet; e.g. early morning

fenugreek water or cinnamon+honey at beginning of meal for " PCOS "

Castor oil pack and fomentations has dissolved even malignant tumors

in abdominal or pelvic region in some cases, if other herbal remedies

were also being tried. The castor oil technique boosts the immune

system to an extent where it destroyes " non-self " living matter in

the same manner it kills bacteria, fungi and virus. It takes care of

warts in foot, where warts are belived to be caused by same virus

which causes ovarian, cervical cancer! (HPV) Castor oil home remedy

for warts is known globally!

The use of Aloe Vera for fibroid like uterine growths has been

mentioned in ancient text " Bhavprakash " which is about 700 years

old. Acharya Bhavaprakash was the author, quite progresive for that

time. He is credited with pulse diagnosis of ayurveda, as this book

mentions it first time, no other ancient texts having the mention of

pulse diagnosis. But several vaidyas follow it most successfully, as

seen by the cure rate of the patients. This brings us to the

references, trials or literature. In alternative medicine no one

bothers about giving publicity to his findings, unless he is from an

academic school/college and has interest in getting M.D./Ph.D

If any of the group members have fibroids, please try castor oil

fomentation program for 3 months. Castor oil has so wide an

application are in alternative medicine, it can ease constipation to

cancer pain. Westerner naturopaths have also taken so much interest

in it, and have given equal contribution as eastern ayurvedists.

Aloe vera remedy is mentioned in an ancient text The Bhavprakasha

Nighantu, commonly known as the Indian Materia Medica (1500 A.D.),

The translations are also available. In India, castor oil use is well

known to moms and grandmas. We use for a variety of conditions such

as Vatgulma, baby colic, gas as a result of indigestion, bloating

typical to women suffering from PCOS as well as peri-menopause.

Many naturopathy texts also mention the use of mud packs, fomentation

etc. Even ice packs are used by this author in selected cases to

relive gallstone pain, pains in pancreatic cysts, ovarian cysts. IT

depends whether the patient has Pitta vitiation, Vata vitiation or

Kapha vitiation. Even if ovarian cysts are generally Kapha vitiation,

pitta factor also comes in when the cysts are hemorrhagic. PCOS is a

disorder as complex as cancer, and every patient is unique, needing

different approach for each individual. but general guideline is

If there is pain in pelvic region, along with acne and sometime

rosacea also pitta pacification is needed. Mudpack, ice pack, pitta

pacification medicines give rapid relief. Some special packs also

relive acne falre up.

Castor oil packs with fomentation for fibroids upto 1 cm size. Vata

pacifying diet, Pitta pacification also if heavy bleeding is present

or frequent miscarriages. Progesterone balancing phytosterols based

herbal formulations are also needed if fibroid is causing

miscarriage/heavy bleeding.

If you communicate your email address to this author, a file on

Castor oil application, containing important extracts of the A.R.E.

jornal publications can be sent to you. But it becomes more

acceptable to your doctor if he/she searches the literature

him/herself.

HI Sonya;

Many in early postpartum find relief simply soaking cotton balls in

ghee and inserting them at nighttime. Wise to put them in the fridge

too, so the ghee is firm enough to manage. Better yes, some relief

from these essential oils added, or even for stronger pain relief just

slightly dilute with ghee and apply external. Dr. Light (Jyoti)

Miller, ND is much more specific in her book, Ayurveda and

Aromatherapy. Excerpted from her discussion on Hemorrhoids which goes

into multiple causes also:

" Vata hemorrhoids are painful and dry, with cracking. Pitta

hemorrhoids burn, with much bleeding, and Kapha will be swollen with

dull aching.

The following essential oils can be applied as a compress, in a

vegetable oil retention enema, to a sitz bath (warm or cool water in a

large bowl that you sit in for ten minutes at a time) or may be taken

internally, two drops four times a day with food or drinks.

Pitta: clary sage, geranium, sandalwood, neroli, yarrow, myrtle

Vata: bergamot, valerian, patchouli, cypress, frankincense

Kapha: cajeput, myrrh, niaouli, cypress " .

Several of the oils are particularly helpful to support damaged blood

vessels, including the yarrow, geranium, cypress, myrrh and probably

others. Among most soothing, geranium, clary sage, sandalwood,

neroli, valerian, patchouli, and myrrh. I would concur that using

them in above ways and choosing from these lists will more directly

support for pain also, as with healing energetics comes pain relief.

YOur thoughts for lavender and chamomile, being very gentle and with

gentle pain relief bear merit and may help - they are also skin

supportive. But not as specific for the hemorrhoidal tissue.

For more simple Ayurvedic methods, ghee soaked suppositories/topical

applications and triphala sitz baths are very valuable and often enough.

Warmly;

Ysha
