Guest guest
Dear Nancy; The Post Traumatic Stress and Ayurveda/related therapies week intensive in Santa Fe will be on for sure later this year. Several key attendees are already committed, including an MD, LMT, and a state-wide alternative medicine insurance program director who is very involved in serving war vets and elders especially. But they want the effort to not only pay for itself and presenters, but have time to invite others working in the field to attend. Beverly suggested later this summer, but based upon our last conversation (you and me) I told Har Kaur you had to move in August - is this still the case? Please let them know your schedule if you haven't. So the revised thinking is to hold the week just before or after the NAMA (National Ayurveda Medical Assn) conference in mid October in Albuquerque. They've invited me to speak at NAMA on pregnant and postpartum nutrition, so I'll be in the southwest anyway (which means I get to sit in on the PTSD aromatherapy panel and basically, be y'all's guest, thanks!). Have you and Avital booked your Ayurvedic practitioner's version of the PTSD workshop in Mexico for September yet? For anyone reading besides Nancy, the panel for Santa Fe will include Avital, an ayurvedic panchakarma massage therapist (teamed with Nancy) who has been specializing in dance therapy and adapting the ayurvedic postpartum massage for PTSD in Chicago, Nancy with her years of Ayurvedic practice including private PTSD clients, Har Kaur with her massage therapy Ayurvedic postpartum massage adaptations, and aquatic body work specialties working in a team of gifted alternative healers in Santa Fe in service to clients coming from many places for week or longer intensive deep needs care. Another one of them is a specialist in aromatherapy for trauma and deep emotional stress, a very gifted teacher. BEing in both the southwest (Sedona,Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque!) and southeast (High Springs, Florida) for over 3 weeks each, I've fallen in love again with both areas! But will " base camp " it looks like near my mother's for a while in the northwest US as backup for her needs. Looks like a couple years here for me interspersed with much travel and " home is where the heart is " . Happy belated big 50! I vision for you the supreme bliss of enlightenment this life. Plus success, peace and beauty along with the returns many times over of so much love you give. Yea! You deserved to be cared for and nourished on all levels, including this advanced work and mentorship. Dr. John Cosby has spoken to me with much honor for Dr. Mishra's work also. He said Dr. Mishra offers live conference call classes in Ayurveda also - can you post the details, including a brief bio of his family lineage in Ayurveda? A little reminder to kindly delete excess text when you post any replies - Much love, Ysha > I just got back from an amazing and healing week at a gugukulam/ashram in PA for pulse workshop with dr. Mishra. I am in (professional) love with Dr. M., SOOOOO impressed,
Guest guest
Ok, Ysha -- I missed something here. Can you put up links to what you are talking about --- and how much previious education and experience does one have to go and understand the PTSD? Sounds like wonderful travels? When will you back in Fairfield? My road trip north is still on the agenda. What's your schedule tthis month through the summer? Janel Ps. I have been " in the cave " and just coming out into the light -- sorry, for missing so much here.
