Ysha,

Do you think Frankinsense would be a good oil for a baby boy who has

been circumsized? and also I am working with a baby who seems calmed

by lavendar how many drops could I add to his massage oil?

Thanks,

Sonya

Dear Sonya;

Yes, for rapid and effective results with tissue healing, pain and

calming good essential oils when available are such a valuable

support. The circumsized baby - is this for the emotional trauma he

has experienced, tissue healing, pain...? When in doubt try lavender

for all those. If he were my baby (and I did make the uneducated and

ill advised decision with my first son to circumsize, but that was 34

years ago well before I knew anything about any of these things) I

would be giving him the homeopathic for trauma, as well as usingthe

trauma essential oil blend which is kind also on skin (magic to me),

wearing by diffusing plus applying oils for emotional bonding like

blend you have " Gentle Baby " , geranium, rose, rosewood, sandalwood,

and helichrysum topically on the wound for minimizing scar tissue as

well as pain.

Several oils are very kind to skin and antimicrobial, melaleuca

ericafolia (not the usual alternifolia), geranium, helichrysum, top of

my list, and lavender which may sting a bit on the raw tissue briefly

so dilute.

With the quality of lavender oil I know you are using, for the baby's

massage I would use about 7 drops in 1/8 cup of oil, or more dilute.

YOu can use more or less if you feel to of organic essential oil like

this only. Truthfully, I am terrible about measuring...unless needing

to create an herbal formula for someone to use long term I do it

similarly to how I cook - a little of this, more of that...! These

particular oils discussed here are all very safe, and it is quite

healthy ask you to exercise your insights and intuitions. There may

be factors you pick up on that will make the frankincense a

particularly good choice, for instance.

Of course which oils we " should use " also depends on which ones we may

have to work with if any. If I just had the lav and frank, I'd use

them both for the first little man. Lavender is very healing to

tissues, and a mild analgesic. Much less costly than helichrysum of

course. Frankincense can have a little analgesic effect, but it would

be more for the spiritual body stress level and vata mental

repercussions, unless there was also some dark energy around the event

(different from denial).

Of course other modalities are really important here; lots of

heartfelt communications, holding, gentle regular abhyanga, patience,

lots of loving understanding. Let us know how the first baby responds?

Love,

Ysha
