Dear Dr. Bhate;

For Janel and others, I would like to include that a vaidya is also

trained about the same length/intensity as an MD. Now in India they

also learn the allopathic practices and thinking alongside becoming a

vaidya. It is ayurvedic medical school training degree or title,

right? I do not know, however, when this became so formalized in the

universities. Also, an acharya is their word for a respected teacher

in the field.

> Veda: Knowledge earned through dedication, meditation and insight on

> theworking of this universe

" Veda seeks out he/she who is awake. " Maharishi Mahesh Yogi - " Pure

Knowledge " .

>

> Ayurveda: Knowledge about living healthy and blissfully.

" Knowledge of life for longevity " . " Knowledge of how to surf the

everchanging waves of life successfully, " Dr. Saraswati Buhrman.

" Mother of Healing " - Dr. Vasant Lad. It is prescriptive knowledge,

guidance and care to help reset from the mistakes and karmas of life

which kink, smash, obscure, or otherwise inhibit the natural flow of

our built in self restoring biological, emotional, mental and

spiritual Creative Intelligence. A rose by any other name is still a

rose ;)

criteria regarding who should be a good vaidya. Code of conduct was

given by them. Specifically one point: Vaidya should treat a patient

whether he his going to pay the fees or not. Every service gets paid

by God. On the other hand if patient is suffering from a disease of

karma which is incurable, Vaidya should tell him frankly and ask him

to spend his time meditating on God. Giving false hopes is not a good

practice. But if the disease has arisen due to mental stress, ugly

thoughts, Vaidya should tell the patient to cleanse the mind first.

Very much appreciating these insights and definitions, Dr. Bhate.

Namaskar;

Ysha
